Both routes start at The Square, Tallaght. It is celebrating twenty-five years this year but the 76 goes back thirty-five years. From Tallaght it heads north along Belgard Road and through Newlands Cross to Clondalkin. It passes through Neilstown and heads for Ballyfermot, with a quick detour into Liffey Valley Shopping Centre. From Ballyfermot the route travels along the Kylemore Road and terminates in Chapelizod. The 76 uses a turning circle at the west end of Chapelizod to head back to Tallaght.
Both routes are worth experiencing, thought the 76A has the slight edge as it operates briefly along the M50 motorway and has great views out over the River Liffey.
